Biomarkers of Parkinson's Disease
Wednesday, December 02, 2009
Researchers at the University of South Florida are conducting a study examining potential biological markers or indicators of Parkinson's Disease. The discovery of a simple blood biomarker ofdisease progression will be useful in studies designed to impact the diseaseprocess and to slow or reverse the disease. In addition, bloodtests based on immune markers may also be useful as an early indicator ofdisease pathology, even before disease becomes clinically evident. This would allow early recognition of thedisease and permit a timely intervention to delay onset or even prevent thedisease.

We are looking for Parkinson's Disease patients in all stages of the disease. The study requires a simple blood draw.
